The Navy Radio Transmitting Facility at Chollas Heights was constructed in 1919. Heritage Architecture & Planning prepared a Feasibility Study for the adaptive reuse of the Chollas Transmitter Facility Buildings including Building No. 1, the Transmitter Building and the Commander's House (Quarters A). The project also included the preparation of Construction Documents for the adaptive reuse of the Transmitter Building to include a Community and Recreation Center, Interpretive Museum, and Housing Office.
