The Harbour Lights Resort project (now The Prada Hotel) was a new Art Deco influenced building constructed on the east side of Fifth Avenue, in the Historic Gaslamp Quarter. The site was a surface parking lot and measured 75 feet by 100 feet.
Harbour Lights Resort is a 59 unit vacation ownership (timeshare condo) building. The suites are standard hotel-type rooms in size and layout with the addition of small kitchenettes. The building has seven stories with a basement and is 75 feet tall. The new building complies with the strict design regulations of the Gaslamp Quarter Planned District Ordinance.
The street level (first floor) contains a hotel-type lobby with reception, management offices, and two sales offices on Fifth Avenue that will eventually be converted into retail spaces. The basement includes restrooms, a spa, laundry facilities, employee lounge, and an exercise room. Upper floors contain guest suites, most with dramatic balconies or curved bay windows that capture views of downtown.
